[ Size ] Blade length 54,7cm (1 shaku 8 sun 0 bu 5 rin), sori 2,1cm (6 bu 9 rin), moto-haba 3,24cm, moto-kasane 0,69cm, saki-haba 2,45 cm, saki-kasane 0,62 cm, mekugi-ana(holes) 2, blade weight 595g , shirasaya length 78,5cm
[ Period ] Edo, middle of
[ Province ] Musashi

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is thicker than ordinal. Saki-haba maintains similar width as moto-haba. Strong sori attached. Chû-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are sujikais and keshô. Saki is kurijiri-iriyama-gata. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Part by part, it shows fllowing state. Forging pattern observed a little appranetly. Jinie attached.
Hamon : It runs in sugu tone like notare. It mixed ko-gunomes. Nie attached well. It makes some fayings "hotsure" showing something like nijyû-bas . Around a mono-uchi, mura-nie attached.
Boushi : It runs in shallow notare. It turns in a little pointed shape. Saki has hakikake.

First generation Yoshitake was a pupil of Dewa daijô Kunimichi. After decease of his teacher, it seemed that he moved to Edo. Second generation Izumo-no-kami Yoshitake called himself KAWATE Kichizaemon. He was a third son of third generation Echizen Kunitsugu. He became a son in law of first generation Yoshitake, then succeeded second generation. He lived at Shiba-kawarake-cho in Edo. He created the swords around Kyôhô era.

[ Highlight ] Sturdy when it in hand, strong sori attached, kissaki extended form. A state, which gradually yaki-haba getting wider, very strong nie attached around mono-uchi, it makes the sword looks powerful and strong in addition to tough jigane forging.

[ Conditions ] It has been past some decades from last polishment, some small rusts and foggy part, but it maintains healthy form.

[ Attachments ] Habaki (brass base, double), shirasaya, bag of shirasaya and NBTHK Hozon paper ( issued on 29th September Heisei 1(1989))
