[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba and kasane are both ordinal. Shigi-suji is high. Shinogi-haba is relatively wide. Shallow sori attached. Chû-kissaki extended.
Nakago : Suriage. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Mokume mixed in nagare-gokoro. Jinie attached. Shirake-gokoro shown.
Hamon : Sugu-ha. Nioi-kuchi is in shimari-gokoro. Ko-nie attached. In shallow notare, fine sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. It shows komaru state with hakikake.

This sword was considered to be created by a swordsmith, who lived Mihara and its related area, in Mitsugi-county, Bingo province in Moromachi period. In Bingo province, there were Mihara, Ichi-jô, Homuta, Tomoe, Tatsufusa and Go-ami schools. Those of them, Mihara school was started most early. As generally accepted, one considered their ancestor was Masaie(e.g. Tokuji (1306-1308)). The school had master swordsmiths, such as Masahiro and Masanobu (children of Masaie), sa-hyô-e-jô Masamitsu. The Mihara school swords which created during end of Kamakura through Nanboku-chôperiod were called Ko-mihara. They had been flourished till end of Muromachi period.

[ Highlight ] Jigane shows an aniceint charm with shirake-gokoro. Hadame which runs itame can be observed well. Sugu-ha hamon with nicely distinctive nioi-kuchi. One can appreciate this sword.

[ Conditions ] There is a scar above 11cm of machi-ue omote from shinogi-ji to hira-ji. There is tiny rust point kuchikomi, on mune near kissaki of ura. There are some scratches and foggy part but one can appreciate the swords as it is.
