It was dominant in the past that "大和守安定"(Yamato-no-kami Yasusada) had their home province in Echizen. But today, it is well known that they come from Kishû Sekidô school. There are sufficient grounds for believing it. Specifically, the book titled "Shintô-bengi"(新刀弁疑) mentioned that Yasusada belonged to Sekidô family and described "Yasusada Kishû"(安定 紀州). Additionally, there are not a few swords signature using family name "Tomita"(冨田) or "Tobita"(飛田) as same as Tameyasu(為康) or Yasuhiro(康広) of Kishû Sekidô school. The swords with signature "Kishû Wakayama-jû Yasuhiro tsukuru Yamato Daijô Yasusada saku"(紀州和歌山住安広造 大和大掾安定作) remain. Taking it account the sword with signature "Yamato-no-kami Yasusada gyô-nen go-jyû-san sai Kanbun jyû(10) reki hachi-gatsu(august)-hi"(大和守安定 行年五十三歳之 寛文十暦八月日), he was born in "Genwa 4"(元和四). There is Yamano family's Yasusada sword with "kin-zô-gan setsudan mei"(cut off sigature in gold inlay)(金象嵌切断銘). The opinion that "Izumu-no-kami Kaneshige"(和泉守兼重) was Yasusada's teacher, who had common style and "nakago-shitate"(finish of nakago forming.

The signature of Yamato-no-kami Yasusada teach us a lot of information on swordsmith and his creation for current generation.
