[ Province ] Musashi

[ Feature ]
Form : Ryô-shinogi-zukuri. Both side blade points are aiming upward. Nobori-gama jyû-monji yari form. Hosaki is a little swollen. Shio-kubi is round and short.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are suji-kais. Saki is kiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Fine jinie attached.
Hamon : Sugu style. Konie attached. Sunagashi appeared frequently.
Boushi : It is komaru.

Kanemasa was a swordsmith who created swords at Musashi province, around Genroku era, in the middle of Edo period.

[ Highlight ] Both straight blade hosaki, left and right blades have wider width toward points, considering the balance of length and thickness.
Longer the straight blade, shorter the left and right wing blades. It aimed for not broken at actual fighting with sturdy-built.
A swordsmith SUISHINSHI Masahide left a note on measurement distribution balance of Jyû-monji-yari , "十文字鎗規矩の事".
In case of straight blade has six sun, left and right blade should have four sun each. This was a four-six length rule. He mentioned that this rule made yaris very smart and nice. This yari has almost match on this rule.

* sun : "寸" one of traditional weights and measures. 1 sun "寸" is equivalent to 3.03cm.
