[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-sankaku-zukuri. Su-yari form. There is bô-hi on ura-side with maru-dome stop. Shio-kubi shape is in pentagon. Two out of five sides are edged off.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes ; above signature, katte-sagari, below signature, ô-sujikais. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. It makes flow lines.
Hamon : Ko-midare runs in shallow notare. Fine sunagashi appeared. There are tobiyakis on shinogi. Shio-kubi is also tempered.
Boushi : omote ; saki runs in hakikake and komaru. It turns relatively deep. ura ; it turns in komaru.

First generation Masatsune was a pupil of SEKI Kanetsune. He worked actively at Komaki, Kiyosu or Tomi-chô of Nagoya, Owari province. He was accredited to Sagami-no-kami in May Tenshô 19(1591). He became a monk in February Keichô 10(1605). He died on 18th February Genna 5(1619). There were several generations succeeding the name throuhg Edo period, which counted 10th generation around Bakumatsu, Keiô. In shin-shin-tô period, they created kogatanas, yanone and yaris master pieces as well.

[ Highligth ]
Small size su-yari, with thick and sturdy finish, which blade is so sharp in hira-sankaku-zukuri form. Hosaki edge has an obtuse angle, yet shinogi getting higher with steep lines. It expected to stab hard things. Clear and even size grains nie attached. Remarkable ko-midare hamon is worth appreciating as well.

[ Conditions ] It is a litttle different from each other, the position of machi between right and left. Shallow and small rusts observed part by part.
