[ Size ] Blade length 71.7cm (2 shaku 3 sun 6 bu 6 rin), sori 2.6cm (8 bu 5 rin), moto-haba 3.45cm, moto-kasane 0.79cm, saki-haba 2.61 cm, saki-kasane 0.51 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 971g , shirasaya length 103cm

[ Province ] Ibaraki prefecture

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is thick. Relatively high shinogi-suji attached. There are few diffrences between moto-haba and saki-haba.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is iri-yama-gata. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Gunome-midare. Cho-ji-bas mixed. Ashis and yos appeared. Nie attached. Kin-sens and sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. It turns in komaru form.

[ Highlight ] Masakane was born in 1900 and his real name is Takano Kinjiro, a pupil of the second generation Katsumura Masakatsu. He received approval to make swords in 1954 and made them in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The sword has a high sori warp with an important tip and a well-grained masa-skin, with a powerful, unruly blade with a uniform front and back.

[ Conditions ] Slight minor rusting on the ridge. There is a thin layer of traces of stripping. There are some surface scratches.

[ Attachments ] Habaki, shirasaya and bag of shirasaya.
