[ Province ] Suruga

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, width and thickness are normal, with a slight difference in width between the base and tip, slight curvature, and a medium cutting edge.
Nakago : It is advanced, with a file mark sloping downwards, a cut tip, and two mekugi holes.
Jigane : It has a well-grained itame-hada, with a slight jigane and a fine ground pattern, giving it a faint utsuri reflection.
Hamon : The blade pattern is a mixture of ko-gunome and pointed blades, with ashi and yo, small nie, sunagashi, and tobi-yaki.
Boushi : It is shallowly curved, slightly rounded, and returns slightly.

[ Highlight ] In the late Muromachi period, swordsmiths specialising in the Sōshū style, such as Yoshisuke, Sukemune, and Hirosuke, flourished in Suruga Province, and their descendants continued to live in the same area until the Edo period.This sword is believed to have been made by a swordsmith from Shimada in the Edo period. It is over 76 cm long even after polishing, with a very slight curvature that reflects the style of the period. The well-grained white jigane shows up faintly near the hamon, and the blade pattern is varied with a mixture of mune-yaki and hita-tsura.

[ Conditions ] There is a slight chip on the blade near the habaki-moto and some small rust marks, but otherwise it is in excellent condition.
