[ Highlight ] The Mino Senjuin school emerged when swordsmiths of the Senjuin school in Yamato Province moved to Akasaka, Fuwa-gun, Mino Province, close to the Todaiji manor of Oi-sou. It flourished until the Muromachi period (1393-1573), following Kunishige in the Kemmu period and Kuniyuki in the Nanbokucho period (1331-1392). Nagahiro is a member of the Mino Senjuin school of swordsmiths, and made his swords in the same area around the middle of the Muromachi period. This sword has a deep curvature, even after being polished, and the Yamato temperament can be seen in the way the sword is mainly made of even patterns with frequent kin-sen and sunagashi, and the boushi is beautifully preserved.
