[ Size ] Blade length 43.8cm (1 shaku 4 sun 4 bu 5 rin), sori 1.6cm (5 bu 2 rin), moto-haba 2.98cm, moto-kasane 0.61cm, saki-haba 2.03 cm, saki-kasane 0.41 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 418.5g , shirasaya length 65.5cm

[ Period ] Muromachi "室町", end of
[ Province ] Bizen "備前"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Relatively high in shinogi-suji. Saki-zori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : In ko-midare, ko-gunomes, ko-choji and togari-bas mixed. Ko-ashis and yos appeared. Ko-nie attached. Sunagashis appeared. Tobi-yakis tempered frequently.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Form is ko-maru. Saki is haki-kake.

[ Highlight ]
Bizen Sukesada was a group of swordsmith, who worked actively at Bizen province at the end of Muromachi period. There are many swordsmith with the signature Sukesada "祐定". It was well known that meeting high demand for swords during Sengoku era, they proviced many practical use swords. With short size finish nakago, this sword is nice in balance when in hand. Both ji and ha are clear and there are many changes so that one can appreciate it.

[ Conditions ]
At the middle of blade, there is a scratch caused by sheath. Part by part, there are some scratches and small rusts. On mune, there is small flaw called shinae "シナエ". However, it is sufficient to appreciate and preserve in current conditions.

Habaki (suaka-ji, double), shirasaya and bag of shirasaya.
