[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is ordinal. Relatively high shinogi-suji and high sori attached. Chû-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are ô-suji-kais and keshô. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada. Some changes mixed. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Gunome-midare. Ashis appeared. Nie attached. Sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in shallow notae. It turns in ko-maru form.
[ Highlight ] This is a very solid piece, which feels heavy when you hold it. Yoshimitsu Yasumoto was born in Iwate Prefecture in Meiji 30 "明治" 1897. In 1942 he was enrolled in the Yoshiwara Kuni-ie, where he also received instruction from Kato Sukekuni. He also worked as a swordsmith for the army. In Shôwa37 (1962), he became a student of Akihira Miyairi and deepened his study of sword making. He has also won many prizes in competitions, including the Excellence Award and the Effort Award in the Exhibition of Sword Making Techniques and the Effort Award in the Exhibition of New Master Swords.
[ Conditions ] Slightly scratched, no rust, generally good.
