[ Province ] Harima "播磨"

[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is narrow. Kasane is thin. Uchi-zori attached a little.
Nakago : Suri-age. Ori-kaeshi-mei. (nakago is partly folded back) Yasurimes are kiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Chikei appeared. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Ko-notare, gunomes mixed. Nie attached. It appears haki-kakes and sunagashi.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. It becomes flame form. It tempered deeply toward downward, becoming ko-midare. Nie attached well.


[ Highlight ]
Sadatsugu was a swordsmith of Harima province around Ô-ei "応永" (1394-1428). He was called Ogawa-no-Hikoshirô "小川の彦四郎". Ogawa comes from the place, old town Ogawa-sato "小川里" of Hanada, Shikama "飾磨" county (current Ogawa, Hanada town, Himeji city). On bleu color tempered jigane, hamon with wide variety changes tempered with unfathomable profundity. It is also precious its ori-kaeshi-mei. The sword is stored into clean and beautiful mokume pattern shirasaya.

Nicely aged jingane. Excellent.
