[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is ordinal. Relatively high sori attached. Shinogi-haba is relatively wide. Koshi-zori attached. Chû-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ô-suriage. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada, with some changes, masa-pattern mixed. A little, its pattern appeared on surface. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared. Pale midare-utsuri appeared.
Hamon : Sugu-ha. Ko-gunomes, ko-midare-bas, ni-jyû-bas, hotsure, hakikake, and kuichigai-bas mixed. Including some rough nies, rich nie attached. Kin-sens and sunagashis
Boushi : It runs in shallow midare-komi. Saki is hakikake.
Omote side shows yakitsume. Ura side shows flame shape.
Toppei koshirae : maru-ni-narabi kara-uchiwa-mon kuroro-iro-nuri-zaya ; a pair of fuchi-gashira : design of waves and plovers (shibu-ichi senbori kin-iroe); tsuba : design of hydrangea(copper base, kin-iroe) ; menuki : design of flowers and birds (copper base, katachi-bori, iroe) ; metal fitting of sheath : sumon pattern (shibu-ichi base) ; kojiri : sumon pattern (shibu-ichi base)

[ Highlight ]
Senjyuin school was a group of wordsmith who worked in the monk, close to Senryu-tani valley, foot of Wakakusayama mountain, Nara prefecture. In Yamato five schools, they were most old. In second half of Heian period, it was said that Yukinobu and Shigenobu were working in the school. However, no their remaining swords
are confirmed. After Heian period, Senjyuin school was known that a lot of no signature swords existed. In form and jigane, Yamato characteristics are confirmed. Apart from that, it shows many changes, such as ko-gunomes, ko-midares, ni-jyû-bas, kuichigai-bas mixed in suguha, habuchi showing some loose part. Senjyuin school characteristics can be observed that beauty of hamon, flame shape boushi becomes almost yakitsume.
Toppei koshirae, which was popular during end of Edo period, are attached.
Kuwagata-kojiri and sakaguchi metal fittings are fitted. It is so sturdy that the beauty of Tsuba, design of hydrangea open work, enhanced.
[ Conditions ]
Both blade and koshirae maintain excellent conditions.
Koshirae was real one which used during end of Edo period. The importance of history can be observed form the feeling of use.
