[ Size ] Blade length 53.6cm (1 shaku 7 sun 6 bu 8 rin), sori 1.0cm (3 bu 3 rin), moto-haba 3.06cm, moto-kasane 0.68cm, saki-haba 2.09 cm, saki-kasane 0.37 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 519g, shirasaya length 77cm

[ Province ] Settsu "摂津"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Shallow sori attached. Fukura curve attached. Chû-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are suji-kais and keshôs. Saki is iri-yama-gata. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Yaki-dashi begins in sugu. In gunome-midare, ko-notares mixed. Ashis appeared. Nie attached. Sunagashis appeared. Tobi-yaki tempered. In upper-half part, on shinogi-ji and mune, there are tempered area.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. Saki is haki-kake with some tsuki-age-gokoro. It turns deep.

[ Highlight ]
Fujiwara Sadayuki "藤原貞行" was a swordsmith who worked at Settsu "摂津" in the middle of Edo period, around Ten-na"天和"(1681-1684). He was calle Hyû-e-no-jô "兵衛尉". Other than four character signature like this sword, there are swords with signature "多田治兵衛尉藤原貞行". By the appreciation of this sword, the styles shows that around mono-uchi, there are the dôran-ba appearance with sequneced gunomes. Comparing the creation age, and the signature's character "貞" shows extreme resemlance, so that Fujiwara Sadayuki is considered to be a pupil of second generation Echigo-no-kami Kanesada "包貞". Jigane is so beautiful and nioi-kuchi us clean. The remaining swords of Fujiwara Sadayuki, Settsu province, are not many. This is one of precious historical item.

[ Conditions ] Pale scratches, including made inside of sheath, observed. But they are not preventing appreciation, so that it can be preserved and appreciated in current status.
