[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is ordinal. Shallow sori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Engraving : (omote) (ura) bo-hi wti round shape stop maru-dome, so-e-hi acompanied with flowing finish.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are suji-kai. Saki is ha-agari, kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Well grained itame-hada. Fine and rich ji-nie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : It starts in short sugu form. In shallow notare, o-gunomes mixed. Ashis and deep nioi appeared. Ko-nie attached well. In tempered area, sunagashis and kin-sen appered.
Boushi : (omote)(ura) A little notare form, nie attached well. It turns in komaru.
Kanemichi "兼道", the founder of the Mishina "三品" school, moved to Kyoto "京都" from his native Mino"美濃" during the Eiroku period and led a group of four brothers, including Iga-no-kami Kinmichi "伊賀守金道", Rai Kinmichi "来金道" , Tanba-no-kami Yoshimichi "丹波守吉道" and Etchu-no-kami Masatoshi "越中守正俊". The artist of this work is the third generation of Kinmichi "金道", the second son among them. He was active in Kyoto during the Enpo "延宝" period. He appears to have had frequent contact with swordsmiths in Osaka at the time, and their styles influenced each other's work.
[ Highlight ]
The forging of the itame, which is well finished, is gentle but the grain of the skin can be seen clearly, the ground is be nie attached thickly and the iron is bright.
[ Conditions ]
It has been polished and the shirasaya scabbard has been renewed. It is in very good condition and will be well preserved and appreciated.
