[ Feature ]
Form : Shobu-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are oridinal. Saki-zori attached form.
Nakago : Yasurimes are o-suji-kais. Sakis funagata like, which shove more toward blade side. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada. A little, grained patterns come to be appeared on surface. Masa pattern mixed. Jinie attached. It shows some white tone. Shinogi-ji has masa grained pattern.
Hamon : Notare, gunomes mixed. Ko-ashis and yos appeared. Habuchi shows some loosened appearance. Nie attached well. Sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : It turns which point has sharp shape. Saki has haki-kake form.

[ Highlight ] The blade has a slightly itame-grained, masa-taste jigane ground iron with a whitish colour, and to distinguish it from jigane, the blade is frayed and nie attached well, with a sunagashis attached midare turbulent blade pattern. The structure of the blade is generally uniform on both sides. Kashu Iehira was the son of Ietada Kichibei, a swordsmith of the Darani lineage from the Kanbun period. He made signatures such as 'Kashu ju Iehira', 'Kashu Kanazawa Shirobei-no-jo Iehira' and 'Kashu Kanazawa Shirobei-no-jo Iehira Fujiwara Iehira'. There are also some dated works such as 'Kanbun 7, 11' and 'Enpo 9'. Died in Ten-na3 (1683).

[ Conditions ] There is a thin layer of rust from Shinogi-ji near the ki-ssaki on the front and back of the mune.
