Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. BOth mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Shallow sori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Suri-age, saki is kiri. Yasurime are katte-sagari. Four holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada, mokume mixed. In total, grained patterns come to be surface hada-tatsu state. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : Chu-suguha. Ko-gunome mixed. Ko-ashi appeared. Ko-nie attached. Fine sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu form. It turns ko-maru, saki shows hakikake shape.

[ Highlight ]Sadatsugu was a swordsmith of the Echizen Shimosaka school, who made swords around Kan'ei, and was transferred from Hyuga Daijo to Hyuga-no-kami. He is thought to have been an influential close associate of Yasutsugu. He is also known as 「越前国下坂貞次」「於越前豊原下坂日向大掾貞次」「越前国日向大掾下坂貞次」「越前於豊原日向大掾藤原貞次作是」「日向守貞次」. The date is Kan'ei 5-8, etc. Lived in Toyohara, Echizen Province (Toyohara, Maruoka-cho, Sakai-gun, Fukui Prefecture). The second generation also made the sword under the name Hyuga no kami Sadatsugu around the Kanbun period. This sword has a straight blade with a wooden grain mixed with itame (itame) on the forged skin, with an almost constant tempered width from the front to the back, interspersed with ko-gunome blades and ko-ashi, the calm distinction between blade and jigane, and fine nie pattern.
