[ Feature ]
Form : Shobu-zukuri. Mitsu-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. High shinogi-suji and saki zori attached.
Engraving : (omote) futashuji-hi with kaki-toshi end (ura) koshi-hi weith kaki-toshi.
Nakago : Suri-age. Saki is shallow kuri-jiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada, with some changes, which becomes masa pattern. Jinie attached well. Chikei and shirake-utsuri appeared.
Hamon : Sugu-ha tone. Ko-gunome mixed. Ko-ashi and yo appeared. Nie attached. Sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu shape. Form is ko-maru. It has long yaki-sage. Mune-yami appeared. On shinogi-ji, tobi-yaki appeared.
[ Highlight ]The Etchu Uda school flourished in the late Kamakura period (1185-1333), when Kunimitsu Ko-nyudo from Uda County in Yamato Province moved to Etchu, and continued to flourish during the Muromachi period (1333-1573) and the Shintou period (1333-1573). Kunimune of the Uda school was a son of Kunimitsu and a younger brother of Kunifusa, and the same name was used for several generations. This sword has a deep jigane base with a masa-grain colour, frosty white reflections, and fine ground grain with fine nie and bright nioi-kuchi.
[ Conditions ] A little cloudiness at the edge of the habaki, otherwise excellent.
