[ Size ] Blade length 64.84cm (2 shaku 1 sun 4 bu 0 rin), sori 2.86cm (8 bu 8 rin), moto-haba 2.83cm, moto-kasane 0.64cm, saki-haba 1.84 cm, saki-kasane 0.35 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 548g, koshirae length 91.5cm
[ Period ] Muromachi "室町", middle through late
[ Province ] Mino "美濃"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. HIgh shinogi-suji and sori attached. There are differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Chû-kissaki form.
Nakago : Yasurimes are higaki. Saki is kuri-jiri.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Mokumes mixed. Jinie attached. Utsuri comes to appear with some white colour.
Hamon : Gunomes. Ko-chô-ji-bas, sharp "ha"s, and ko-midares mixed. Ko-ashis appeared. Ko-nie attached. Kin-sens and sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. Form is ko-maru. Saki is haki-kake.

[ Highlight ]
HIgh shinogi-suji and sori attached. There are differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. On well grained itame-hada, mokumes mixed. Utsuri comes to appear vividly. Width of blade maintains relatively constant. In small size gunomes, ko-chô-ji-bas and sharp togari-bas mixed. Nioikuchi has its depth in appearance. Kaneyoshi "兼吉"'s native province was Yamato "大和". First generation Kaneyoshi swords began from Ô-ei "応永". From Muromachi through Edo period, Kaneyoshi school flourished so much. This sword has a form of good balance when it in hand. The style and form well considered its handling and portability so that it considered as a plactical use sword made by Kaneyoshi workshop during Sengoku era. Koshirae is consist of soft tsuka wi black leather wrapping, saya with sparkling blue shell particles. Metal fittings are so fine. One of tasteful koshirae.

Koshirae : black coloured uchi-gatana-koshirae ; tsuba : design of gourd( iron, ko-sukashi. signature :"豫州住信家") ; menuki : design of lion (shaku-dô, katachi-bori) ; a pair of fuchi-gashira : (shakudô-ji, taka-bori, gold and silver iroe)

"黒塗鞘打刀拵 : 瓢箪透鐔(鉄地小透 銘 : 豫州住信家)、獅子図目貫(赤銅地容彫)、八橋図縁頭(赤銅地高彫金銀色絵)"

[ Conditions ]
There are some rough terrain part in jingae. Blade has some scraches including caused by sheath. However, it can be appreciated and preserved in current conditions. Tsuka was repaired and rewrapped recently. The condition is excellent.

Habaki ( suaka-ji, single, design of crescent moon open work), koshirae and bag of koshirae.
