[ Size ] Blade length 64.2cm (2 shaku 1 sun 1 bu 8 rin), sori 2.0cm (6 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 2.69cm, moto-kasane 0.61cm, saki-haba 1.77 cm, saki-kasane 0.36 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 572g , shirasaya length 91cm, koshirae length 99cm

[ Period ] Muromachi, second half of.

[ Province ] Ecchu

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are oridinal. There are some differences between moto-haba
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are kiris. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Some changes mixed. Jinie attached. Shirake-tone appeared.
Hamon : Shallow notare, some gunomes patterns mixed. Nie attached well. Sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Saki has haki-kake form with yakitsume end.

[ Highlight ] Tomotsugu was a swordsmith of the Etchu Uda school, the first generation being a student of Ko-nyudo Kunimitsu, circa Kakei, and several generations followed from then until the Tensho period. This sword has a warped form with an extended middle edge chu-kissaki and a white itame-stream ground iron, and is distinguished as Uda Tomotsugu by its turbulent blades with frequent nie and sunagashis.
