[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is thick. Hig shinogi-suji attached. More ore less, sori attached. Chu-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are o-suji-kais. Sakis iri-yama-gata. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Rich jinie attached. Fine chikei appeared. On shinogi-ji, it appeares itame.
Hamon : Gunomes, o-gunomes and notare mixed. Ashis and deep nioi appeared. Nie attached well. Sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. Form is ko-maru. Saki has haki-kake shape. It turns relatively deep.

[ Highlight ] Oku Izumi-no-kami Tadashige was a Satsuma swordsmith of the mid-Edo period. He was the son of Oku Tadakiyo and was called Shu-emon. His first signature was Tadashige Nami-no-hira, a resident of Taniyama. In his later years he changed his signature to Hideoki. He died in Kyoho 5 at the age of 63. He was a pupil of Tsuda Sukenoh. This is a Wakizashi with a wide body, thick grain and a wonderfully gorgeous appearance. The koitame forging is well done with thick jinie and the ko-itame is forged with fine chikei, the blade is highly burnished and has a large, turbulent dou-ran-ba wave pattern.

[ Conditions ] There is a dark, visible scuff mark at the edge of the habaki, otherwise in excellent condition.
