[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Reratively high shinogi-suji attached. Deep sori and saki zori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kiri. Three holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained.Toward blade side, masa-tone appeared. Jinie attached. Fine chikei appeared.
Hamon : Chu-suguha tone. Gunomes mixed. Ko-nie attached, which become loosed. Sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu with some chanes. It turns in ko-maru.

[ Highlight ] This work has a deep curve with a slightly high shinogi-suji line. The Itame forged base iron with fine grain and fine jigane is masa-grained, and the blade design is a slightly fine straight blade with ko-gunome grain interspersed with alternating blades often accompanied by ko-gunome, and the blade is often tipped with sunagashi. The nakago has an indecipherable but faintly visible signature of "Ni" and "Saku", and the spacing between them indicates that the signature was originally cut into five characters.It shows the typical style of the Nioh school of the late Muromachi period and is identified as Masakiyo. The Nioh school is a line of Yamato-den swordsmiths with Kiyotsuna as its founder in the early Kamakura period. Even in the late Muromachi period, when wars were frequent, many swordsmiths were active to meet the demand for swords.

[ Conditions ] The jigane base iron is a little rough in places and there is some minor rust.
