[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. A little high shinogi attached. Moderate sori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Suri-age. Saki is kiri. Yasurimes are kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Mokume mixed. Masa tone mixed for blade side. Jinie attached. Black coloured.
Hamon : Notare, gunomes mixed. Nie attached. Habuchi has been loosended. Kin-sens and suna-gashis appeared.
Boushi : (omote) midare-komi (ura) it runs in sugu, then turns in ko-maru form. Saki has haki-kake shape.

Appreciation record on the saya by Dr. SATO Kanzan "鞘書" : "兼継　但磨上無銘典型作之一　　刃長貳尺貳寸二二有之　昭和甲寅年夏吉日　寒山誌 (seal 花押)"

[ Highlight ]It has a slightly darkened, strongly textured surface and a frayed blade pattern, and has been identified as Shiga-seki. Shiga-seki is said to have been the former Yamada-so, Nishiharui-gun, in the area of present-day Shiga-cho and Yamada-cho, Kita-ku, Nagoya City.

[ Conditions ] Excellent. It is possible to appreciate and preserve in current condtions.
