Itame-hada, ko-gunome grain with a blade pattern of alternating patterns in the shape of plum blossoms, with a slightly rounded boushi. The boushi is slightly rounded back. The name and design are engraved with a poem by Ki no Tsurayuki, one of the Thirty-six Poets, on the theme of ‘Hito wa Isa kokoro mo Shirazu Furusato wa Hana wo Mukashi no ka ni nioi-keru’ (People do not know their own hearts, but their home is the smell of flowers).
