[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-zukuri. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Gradually it becomes narrow the width of blade toward the tip. Tanto form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are suji-kais. Saki is iri-yama-gata. One hole.
Engraving : (omote) koshi-hi groove with round stop. There is a parallel groove. (ura) Homa.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada, well grained. Rich jinie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : Around machi, it becomes wider width is. Light notate, which mixed gunomes. Fine nie attached, part by part ara-nie mixed. Deep nioi, and sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : It has sugu form. Saki is ko-maru shape. It turns long.

[ Highlight ] Masanobu was a Satsuma swordsmith from the late Edo period, around the Keio era. He made signatures such as 'Satsuyoshi Minamoto Masanobu-saku' and 'Yuzukizaki Minamoto Masanobu'. The date of making is Keio 2. This is a beautiful short sword with a well nie attached, shiny base blade.
