[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, wide body, thick thickness, slightly deep curvature, chu-kissaki medium cutting edge.
Nakago : Ubu, yasurime rasp with o-sujikai and kesho. It has shallow kuri-jiri end. A mekugi hole.
Jigane : It is well-grained with small itame-hada grain, with a fine chikei ground scape.
Hamon : It is a combination of cho-ji midare with alternating and pointed wavy blade patterns, with a general backwards tilt, ashi foot and yo leaves, with a good amount of nie and sunagashi.
Boushi : It is slightly curved and returns in a small circle.

[ Highlight ] The base of the jigane is well-grained with itame grain, and the gorgeous wavy blade pattern is reminiscent of the Ichimonji school wavy blade patterns of the mid Kamakura period. He entered the Japanese swordsmith training school in 1932, became chief swordsmith at the Tokiwamatsu sword smithy in 1935, and after working as an assistant at the Japanese sword laboratory of the Kyushu Imperial University in 1937, established the Nihon Sho swordsmithy in 1938 and began creating swords. In 1940 he became a commissioned officer at the First Arsenal of the Tokyo Army, where he trained and taught swordsmiths until the end of the war. He also served as a teacher at the Japanese Sword Academy and as a judge and head of the judging department at the Exhibition of New Japanese Swords. His son Masahiro and grandsons Yoshito and Shoji are also renowned swordsmiths.

[ Conditions ] Excellent apart from some light rusting in the ha-machi section.
