[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-zukuri, iori-mune, with a slightly wide body, thick thickness, slightly short, and a small appearance with a fukura becoming flat.
Nakago : Ubu, with an unknown file mark, a shallow kuri-jiri, and one mekugi hole.
Jigane : The jigane has a fine itame-hada.
Hamon : The hamon is a mixture of ko-gunome and sko-notare mall wavy patterns, with a lot of attached nie and appeared yubashiri.
Boushi : The tip of the boushi blade is straight and pointed.

[ Highlight ] Heki Kanetsugu was a swordsmith from Tottori Prefecture, called Heki Nihei, a student of Yokoyama Sukekane. He created swords in Tokyo from 1887. He died on 8 February 1909 in Shitaya at the age of 71. He made signatures such as 「日置兼次」「神宝余鉄兼次作之」「兼先十二代孫因幡国日置兼次作」「兼先十二代孫兼次作九段坂造之」「為試以卸鉄兼次作之」「鳥取県日置仁平兼次鍛之」「因州於久松山麓扇邸東宮殿下上覧同鉄以兼次造之」 There are also some dated pieces from the 15th, 20th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 30th to 41st of the Meiji period. The sword is a small, stout tanto with a wavy blade pattern of gunome-midare style and a well-grained jigane base with yubashiri (a type of tempered area appearance).

[ Conditions ] There is slight charcoal cradling and minor rusting.
