Minamoto no Moriatsu "源盛篤", known as Fujita Atsushi "藤田篤", became a student of Kongohyoe Moritaka "金剛兵衛盛高" in Showa "昭和"8(1933). He lived and made swords in Miyanojo-cho, Satsuma-gun, Kagoshima (e.g. 鹿児島県薩摩郡宮之城町). This work is a late work with an inscription of Showa 62(1987). The mihaba is wide and imposing, but the guttering "樋” makes it light and easy to hold. It is also noteworthy for the sturdy construction of the kissaki and nakago.
