[ Province ] Hizen

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is ordinal. High shinogi-suji and sori attached. Chu-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are kiri. There are kesho-yasuris. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Part by part, o-hada mixed. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Gunome-midare. Nie attached well. Yubashir appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. It turns in komaru form.

[ Highlight ] Hizen Kunihiro, also known as Hashimoto Rokurozaemon, was a Hizen swordsmith of the early Edo period. He is known for his signatures such as 'Hizen-no-kuni Kunihiro', 'Hizen-no-kuni Saga-no-kuni Kunihiro' and 'Hizen-saga-ju Fujiwara Kunihiro', and his works are dated in Kan'ei 18, Keian 4, Manji 3 and other years. He was the son of Tadayoshi's pupil Hiroshige and the father of Totomi-no-kami Kanehiro. This sword has a slightly high shinogi-suji, with an extended kissaki (cut edge), itame-hada tempered with itame-grain, and a blade with an alternating pattern of blades.

[ Conditions ] There are forging cracks in the Jitgane (base iron) around the bottom of the monouchi on the reverse side. Old polishing, with flaws and thinly clouded areas.
