[ Highlight ]
Izumimori Kaneshige 和泉守兼重 was a ne-forger "根鍛治" in his home country of Echizen-ya "越前矢", but later he went to Edo and became a sword smith. His works date from Kan'ei "寛永" 2 to Meireki "明暦" era. This sword has a shallow notare, gunomes mixed. Ko-nie attached well. It has deep nioi-kuchi. This sword shows the characteristic of Kaneshige's "兼重" work. The brilliance of the blade is splendid, and it has been passed down through the generations as the work of Kotetsu "虎徹". The sword is well-balanced while suri-age, and the boushi is well applied, and the polishi is also good.

[ Conditions ]
The blade has one spot of thin rust on the blade and one spot on the tip of the blade, but is otherwise in good condition. The koshirae is thought to have been made around the Meiji period (1868-1912), and although it has a sense of use that is appropriate for its age, it is generally good.
