[ Highlight ] Kawachi no Kami Toshinaga was named Magoshiro Wakahara in his native Mino, and his signatures are 'Kawachi no Kami Toshinaga' and 'Kawachi no Kami Fujiwara Toshinaga'. He is said to have created swords between Manji and Kanbun periods, as there is an inscription dated Manji 2. He first lived in Ogaki Yumi-cho and later moved to the Bungo Oka clan, where he was given ten man-support as a clan craftsman. The wife of Hisakiyo Nakagawa, the third lord of the Oka domain, was the daughter of Tadaso Ishikawa, who served as the third lord of Ogaki and the lord of Hita in Bungo Hita. This wakizashi has a slightly itame grain forged surface, a suguha straight blade with ko-gunome grain and ko-ashi mixed in and a nie blade design, and a medium cutting edge with a normal appearance. It comes with an old-fashioned set of sturdy metal fittings with a jigane base and a bright vermilion-lacquered scabbard.

[ Conditions ] The shira-saya, habaki and tsunagi have been renewed in recent years. The sword has several incised flaws on the blade. The sword has no kurigata.
