Form : Hira-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is rather wide. Kasane is ordinal. There are few differences between moto-haba and saki-haba.
Engraving: (omote) a bo-hi groove (ura) a pair of groove (futa-suji-hi)
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Nioi base. Chu-sugu-ha, a little ko-nie attached. Nioi-kuchi is so clear.
Boushi : It runs in sugu form. It truns in ko-maru shape.

[ Highlight ] The founder of Norimitsu is said to have been a student of Nagamitsu, and the same name was used for several generations until the end of the Muromachi period. In 1991, at the 37th Important Sword Examination, the Bishu Nagafune Norimitsu dagger with the date "Ōei丗三年二月日" was designated as an important sword, and although the existence of a Norimitsu tanto with the signature of Kagen 3 was known until then, there were no clear examples of Norimitsu's legacy from the period between the Northern and Southern Dynasties and Oei thereafter, and so the designation was stated to have "tremendous material value. This work, which passed the Hozon token examination in 2022, has an even older date of "February day, Oei twenty-fifth year", with excellent calligraphy, and the signature is in excellent condition. It is a rare example of Norimitsu's age of creation, with a hira-zukuri form measuring over 1 shaku 7 sun.

[ Conditions ] There is some light wear to the polish and there are a few areas where the forging is noticeable. The polish is in good condition and can be preserved and appreciated in its current state.
