[ Period ] Muromachi,beginning of. Ouei 応永 21(1414)
[ Province ] Bizen

[ Feature ]
Form : HIra-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is relatively wide. Saki kasane is fewer thickness (compared with moto-kasane). No sori attached tanto form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. Two holes.
Engraving : (omote) suken and homa (ura) bo-hi straight groove.
Jigane : Itame-hada with changes. Mokumes mixed.
Hamon : Ko-gunomes, ko-notare mixed. Ko-ashis appeared. In nioi base tone, part by part nie attached. Sunagashis appeared as well.
Boushi : It runs in sugu shape almost in tsukiage. It turns in ko-maru shape.

[ Highlight ] Yasumitsu is, along with Morimitsu, one of the leading swordsmiths of the Oei Bizen school. This piece is considered to be the work of the first Emono-jo, based on the date of Oei 21. The jigane has a wavy blade pattern with a small pattern of ko-gunomes alternating with lines, small wavy patterns and ashis. The short sword with the handle with pleated has three, five or seven different incisions on the scabbard.
