[ Feature ]
Form : The blade is hira-zukuri construction flat-ground with an iori-mune; it is broad in the body, with a slightly thin thickness, a shallow curvature, and a slightly tapered tip.
Engraving : The engraving features straight grooves running along the front and back.
Nakago : It has a natural nakago tang, diagonal file marks with decorative filing, a chestnut-shaped pommel, and a mekugi hole.
Jigane : The jigane has a fine, well-defined itame-hada grain.
Hamon : The hamon is a wavy blade pattern with interlocking waves, featuring ashi feet and yo leaves, interspersed with chōji midare and sharp points.
Boushi : The boushi tip is irregular, sweeping outwards before turning back to a sharp point.

Sheath: Kuroishime-nuri scabbard, Edo Higo-style sheath: bamboo design, openwork sword guard (iron base), cherry blossom and arabesque design on the fuchigashira (shakudo base metal with gold coloured painting), Gunma design on the fuchigashira (copper base metal with gold coloured painting), and a handle with twisted cord wrapping.

[ Highlight ] Hikaru is a contemporary swordsmith from Fukuoka whose real name is Mitsutoyo Fujimoto. He created swords under the guidance of So-tsutomu, and the two produced many collaborative works. He is renowned for crafting iaido swords characterised by their lightness in the hand and exceptional sharpness. This piece features a well-defined, wavy blade pattern. It was formerly owned by a master instructor of iaido.

[ Conditions ] The blade has been polished in the iaido style; whilst there are some slight flaws, there is no rust. It is fitted with a iaido sheath in good condition. It comes with a Tsugaru-nuri sheath in excellent condition.
