[ Highlight ] Kanenobu was a Kaga swordsmith of the late Edo period (Bunkyu era), a disciple of Kinoshita Kaneshige, a swordsmith in the service of the Maedagi family of Kaga. He was a pupil of Kinoshita Kaneshige, a swordsmith of the Maedaki family of Kaga. His master, Kaneshige, was a descendant of the Mino Seki swordsmith Kanemoto, and it is believed that Kanenobu also learned the Seki-style Gunome blade. This sword has a shallow warp with an extended チchu-kissaki medium cutting edge, giving it a sturdy and solid feel. The blade is forged and has a long, straight taper with a gunome pattern.
[ Conditions ] There are very small spills on the cutting edge and Monouchi. Minor flaws are visible. There are natural forging cracks and deflections on the mune.
