[ Size ] Blade length 27.9cm (9 sun 2 bu 0 rin), sori 0.6cm (1 bu 9 rin), moto-haba 2.71cm, moto-kasane 0.13cm, moto-shinogi-kasane 0.67 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 255g , shirasaya length 45.5cm
[ Period ] Edo, second half of. Around Tnepo 天保 (1831-1845)
[ Province ] Inaba

[ Feature ]
Form : Shobu-zukuri. Iroi-mune. Mihaba is rather wide. High shinogi-suji and saki-zori attached. Fukura shows kareru state.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurime are suji-kai. Saki is shallow kurijiri form. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada, masa pattern changes mixed.
Hamon : In nie based sugu-ha, cho-ji mixed. Tobiyaki appeared. HItatsura pattern mixed.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. It turns its saki become sharp. It tempered long for downward.

[ Highlight ]This is a sharp-looking (susudoshi) tanto appearance, forged with the itame grain flowing in a straight line, and with a powerful hamon (tempered pattern) of tobi-yaki and hitatsura mixed in, and is said to be the work of Hamabe Toshiharu. Hamabe Toshiharu, also known as Miyoshi Kakutaro, was a swordsmith who lived in Tottori around the time of the Tempou era.

[ Conditions ] There are some flaws, but it is generally excellent. There are two notches in the middle of the back blade.

[ Attachments ] Habaki( suaka-ji, single), shirasaya, bag of shirasaya and NTHK shoshin paper(issued on 8th April Heisei 19(2007)).
