[ Province ] Bizen 備前

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is rather thick. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Saki-zori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Machi has been advanced machi-okuri. Yasurime are katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Part by part some changes and mokume mixed. Jinie attached. Pale utsuri comes to be appeared.
Hamon : Chu-suguha tone. Ko-gunome mixed. Ko-ashi and yo-u appeared. In deep nioi konie attached.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. Saki has hakikake shape with nie-kuzure. It turns rather deep.

[ Highlight ] Bizen Osafune Kiyomitsu is a sword with the same name that has been made by several different swordsmiths over several generations. The swords that bear the secular names of Gorōzaemon-no-jō and Magoemon-no-jō, who are recorded in the Tenbun era chronicle, are particularly well known for their skill, and there are two swords with the same name from the Eiroku and Tenshō eras. Kiyomitsu is known as a master of straight blades, along with Tadamitsu, in the late Bizen school. This work has a solid, well-balanced shape in the hand, and the itame-hada forged surface is well-grained, with a pale reflection, and the characteristic hamon of Kiyomitsu, which mixes ko-gunome with a straight-edged style, is seen in the small ashi and yo-u.

[ Conditions ] There is a very slight edge spillage in one spot per mono-uchi strike.
