[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mue. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. A little, shinogi-haba is wide. High shinogi-suji and sori attached. Saki-zori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Toward blade side, it has masa pattern, becming aya-sugi-hada surface. In general, grained patterns come to be surface. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared. It has some shirake-gokoro taste.
Hamon : Chu-sugu-ha. Ko-ashis appeared. Ko-nie attached. Fine kin-sens and sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. It turns in komoaru form. Saki has haki-kake.

[ Highlight ]The Naminohira school of swordsmithing began with the arrival of a swordsmith called Masakuni from Yamato in the Heian period (794-1185) and continued for a long time until Masakuni's 64th grandson, Yasuyuki, in the Shin-Shin period, who made swords at the Naminohira base in Satsuma, Taniyama-gun. They maintained their old style and their works up to the Nanbokucho period are collectively known as 'ko-naminohira'. From the Muromachi period the style gradually changed. This piece has a deep curvature, and the jigane base, with itame grain and twilled cedar style, gives it a leisurely atmosphere and is identified as 'Naminohira'.

[ Conditions ] There is some rust to the edge of the blade and in the blade of the back mono-uchi, and some horizontal rubbing to the hiraji (flat ground), but otherwise in excellent condition.
