[ Size ] Blade length 38.9cm (1 shaku 2 sun 8 bu 3 rin), sori 0.9cm (2 bu 9 rin), moto-haba 3.32cm, moto-kasane 0.80cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 422g , shirasaya length 58cm
[ Period ] Edo, beginning of. Keian 慶安(1649)
[ Province ] Bicchu

[ Feature ]
Form : HIra-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is thick. Deep sori attached form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are o-suji-kais. Saki is iri-yama-gata. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. O-hada mixed. Richi jinie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : Notare, gunomes mixed. Ashis and yos appeared. Nie attached well. Sunagashis and yubashiris appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu form. Its saki is sharp. Nie attached well. It forged long for downward.

[ Highlight ] This Wakizashi has a strong, curved form of hira-zukuri. The blade has a thick base with a thickly-nie, yubashiri-tinged jigane, and a slow, curved blade with gunome, ashis and yos, which is well-attached nie and brilliant. Tameie was the last generation of Aoe Tametsugu, and after the first generation around the Keicho period, the second generation made swords around the Kan'ei period. This Wakizashi is thought to have been made during the mature period of the second generation.

[ Conditions ] A chip in the ha-machi blade area is unfortunate, but otherwise excellent.
