[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Mihaba is rather wide. Kasane is ordinal. Relatively high shinogi-suji attached. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Moderate sori attached.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurime are katte-sagari. Saki is ha-agari, kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Ko-mokume mixed. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared. Iron coulour becomes blackish. Shirake-utsuri comes to be appeared.
Hamon : In ko-gunome pattern, suqare and sharp form blade and gunome mixed. Ko-ashi appeared. In genenral, it shows small and densed in blade pattern. Nioli-kuchi has tight in appearance. Ko-nie attached. Fine sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. It turns round. Saki has haki-kake form.

[ Highlight ] The Takata swordsmiths were founded in Bungo Province during the Nanbokucho period, with Tomoyuki as the founder, and subsequently passed through the Muromachi period and into the Shintō period. This sword was made by Takada swordsmith Kuniyuki in the early Edo period. The sword has a slightly wide body with a sturdy handle, and itame-hada forged surface mixed with mokume is finely grained to show the quality of the sword. The blade is made of a blade with an angular edge and a pointed tip, with a blade pattern of alternating strokes gunome with a tightened nioi-kuchi, which is a composition that is elusive yet interesting, and has the characteristics of the Takata swordsmith.
