[ Feature ]
Form : Small sized hi-ra sankaku-yari. Saki haba is rather wide. Kissaki is so sharp in shape.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurime are suji-kai. Saki is kiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada with masa changes.
Hamon : Sugu-ha, nie attached. Tobi-yaki appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu form with yakitsume state.
[ Highlight ]This is a small, flat triangular spear with a gently widening tip and a sharp shape towards the end. It has an exterior that has been designed so that the inside of the shakuhachi is processed into a scabbard and the spear fits inside, as well as a spear arrangement in black with partial vermilion lacquer. The moving blade pattern, like that of a spear crow, is also a highlight. (Tsune Hiigoro Yari no Meisu Oreikana)
Kunihira was called Suhama Kichihei, his first signature was Iehira, and he died on 25 Feb 17, Kyoho. His signatures include ‘Kunihira’, ‘Kashu Sumi Fujiwara Darani Kunihira korewo tsukuru’ and ‘Kashu Kinpu Sumi Fujiwara Kunihira’. He was followed in the Kaga base by the first generation around the Shotoku and Kyoho periods, the second generation around the Horeki period and the third generation around the Meiwa period.
