[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-zukuri. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Shallow sori attached. Fukura comes to be appeared its kareru state.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are higaki. Saki is kuri-jiri. Two holes.
Engraving : (both on omote and ura) there are bo-his with smooth ends.
Jigane : O-itame-hada with some changes becoming masa pattern. Jinie attached. Shirake-utsuri comes to be appeared.
Hamon : Gunomes, the end notch of an arrow shape and pointed "ha"s mixed. Ashis and yos appeared well. Nie attached well. Sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. Saki is ko-maru form. It turns a little deep.

[ Highlight ]　Kaneuji is said to be the grandson of the ninth generation of the Shizu Kaneuji. According to documents, they migrated from Seki to Nishinotoin, Kyoto, during the Eiroku era. However, it is thought to be a misnomer for the Bunroku period. He was the founder of the Mishina school and the father of four brothers, Iga Kinmichi, Izumi-no-kami Rai Kinmichi, Tanba-no-kami Yoshimichi and Etchu-no-kami Masatoshi. The inscriptions are "Kenemichi", "Dai Kanemichi", "Kenemichi Saku", etc. There are annual works from the Tembun, Eiroku and Tensho periods. This work has a bold, well-grained skin with flowing mixed masa pattern and a clear shirake-utusuri comes to be appeared. The brilliant hamon blade pattern is also a highlight, and is a good example of Kenemichi's style.

[ Conditions ] Old polishing, but excellent, and can be preserved and appreciated in its current state.
