He is known to have been called Hashimoto Rokuzaemon and to have first been given the title Harima Daijo in a nenkisaku of Kan'ei 13 (13th year of the Kan'ei era), later changing to Harima-no-kami. He was a master craftsman of the Ogi clan craftsman, and in his later years he entered the priesthood and took the name Kyutetsu. This work is a robust, hira-zukuri Wakizashi with a sturdy hand, and a wide range of burnished, gorgeous, and turbulent blades with a high spirit.
