[ Size ] Blade length 74.2cm (2 shaku 4 sun 4 bu 8 rin), sori 2.3cm (7 bu 5 rin), moto-haba 3.45cm, moto-kasane 0.76cm, saki-haba 2.66 cm, saki-kasane 0.57 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 910g , shirasaya length 109cm

[ Province ] Saga prefecture

[ Feature ]
Form : Shionogi-zukuri. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is thick. There are few diffrences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Moderate sori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are kiri. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Engraving : On front omote and back ura, there are grooves bo-hi.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Chu-sugu-ha. Ko-gunomes mixed. Fine ko-nie attached.
Boushi : It runs in sugu form. It turns in o-maru shape.

[ Highlight ] Kazuyoshi Nakao was born in 1939 (Showa 14) and lived in Kitataku, Taku City, Saga Prefecture, Japan. His father, Hizen Kunitachi Tadatsugu, was a member of the Horii Toshihide family, and he learnt sword making from his father from 1955, receiving approval in 1962. There are also works with the inscriptions Kazuyoshi Nakao, Kazuyoshi Nakao, Kazuyoshi Sensyu Engraved, etc., indicating that he was in contact with the engraver Sensyu Kokeguchi. The sword is a sturdy and powerful hand-held sword, with well-developed koitame skin, a ground iron with a natural jinie texture, and a medium straight blade, inheriting the ancient style of Hizen swords.
