[ Size ] Blade length 68.0cm (2 shaku 2 sun 4 bu 4 rin), curvature 1.0cm (3 bu 3 rin), moto-haba width 3.15cm, Moto-kasane 0.66cm, saki-haba width 2.13cm, saki-kasane thickness 0.42cm, 2 mekugi holes, blade weight 718g, shira-saya total length 96.5cm
[ Period ] Edo, around Shoho 正保(1644-1648)
[ Province ] Ise

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are oridinal. There some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Shallow sori attached. Chukissaki form.
Engraving : (omote) Bo-hi groove, (ura) futa-suji hi double grooves, around koshi-moto below half of blade, on shinogi-ji area.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurime are o-suji-kai. Saki is kiri. Two holes. Machi has been advanced. Nakago-saki was cut.
Jigane : Itame-hada with some changes. Mokume mixed. Grained patterns come to be surface a little. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Sugu-ha straight blade. Nioi-kuchi is tight appearance. Ko-nie attached.
Boushi : It is sugu form. Ko-maru shape. Saki has haki-kake.

[ Highlight ] Kunimori was a swordsmith from Ise around the time of Shoho, and his name was Iwasaki Magosuke-no-jo. He also created swords in Kishu. This work has a well-forged itame-hada surface with straight blades skillfully burned into it, and although machi has been advanced, the signature remains well and it is a well-proportioned sword.

[ Conditions ] It is old polishing, but generally in excellent condition. You can enjoy its preservation and appreciation in its current state.
