[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. Kasane is ordinal. High sori attached. Chu-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : O-suri-age. Yasurime are kiri. Saki is kuri-jiri. Two holes.
Engraving : Both on front omote and back ura, there are two grooves futa-suji his.
Jigane : Itame-hada with some changes. Grained pattern more or less appeared on the surface. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Ko-gunome, ko-midare and ko-choji-ba mixed. Ashi and ha appeared. Nie attached. Kin-sen and sunagashi appeared as well.
Boushi : It shows haki-kake frequently.

[ Highlight ] The Echizen Chiyotsuru school is said to have been founded by Chiyotsuru Kuniyasu, a disciple of Rai Kuniyasu. There were two generations of Morihiro of the Kuniyasu lineage with the same name, and the Meikan dates the first generation to the Oei period and the second generation to the Kakitsu and Bun'an periods, but it is known that there are surviving examples thought to date from the Nanboku period, dating back to this period. This sword has a broad, imposing body with a medium cutting edge, deep curvature and a long stem, suggesting that it was a long-size sword before it was refinished. The wavy blade pattern with an even pattern has a vivid nioi -kuchi and is identified as Chiyotsuru Morihiro.
