Omi no kami Tsuguhira "近江守継平" was the same name of several generations, following the first in the Enpo "延宝" period and the second in the Shotoku "正徳" period. It is widely believed that the first generation was a pupil of Yasutsugu Echizen III "越前三代康継". Some say it is the pupil of Yasutsugu II.This work has a slight difference in width at the base and tip, and it is a Kanbun shinto style with little warp sori. The well-hammered, forged skin is magnificent.
