[ Size ] Blade length 72.2cm (2 shaku 3 sun 8 bu 2 rin), sori 1.4cm (4 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 3.17cm, moto-kasane 0.70cm, saki-haba 2.17 cm, saki-kasane 0.43 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 783.5g , shirasaya length 101cm
[ Period ] Edo "江戸"
[ Province ] Echizen "越前"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. There are differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Shallow sori attached. Chû-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are suji-kais. Saki is iri-yama-gata. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Mokumes and masa with changes mixed. Grained patterns comes to be surface. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : Wide sugu-ha. Nie attached well. Fine kin-sens and sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : (omote) it runs in shallow notare. Ko-maru form. (ura) it runs in sugu. It turns in ko-maru form. Both sakis are haki-kake forms.

[ Highlight ] Omi no kami Tsuguhira "近江守継平" was the same name of several generations, following the first in the Enpo "延宝" period and the second in the Shotoku "正徳" period. It is widely believed that the first generation was a pupil of Yasutsugu Echizen III "越前三代康継". Some say it is the pupil of Yasutsugu II.This work has a slight difference in width at the base and tip, and it is a Kanbun shinto style with little warp sori. Itame forging with the characteristic blackish "Echizen-gane". It tempered suguha hamn with well attached nie.
