[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. A little sori attached. Chu-kissaki exrtended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are o-suji-kais and kesho. Saki is shallow kuri-jiri. One hole.
Engraving : Both on omote and ura, there are bo-hi engraves.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Some changes shown for blade side. Jinie attached. FIne chikei appeared.
Hamon : Sugu-ha. Deep nioi appeared. Nie attached well. Fine kin-sens and sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Form is ko-maru. Saki has haki-kake shape. It turns relatively deep.

[ Highlight ] Kusano Yoshiaki was a swordsmith of the late Edo period, called Kusano Tetsusaburo, whose home country was Inaba, where he became a student of Gassan Sadayoshi and created swords in Osaka. The period signatures include Ansei 6, Bunkyu 3, Keio 2, 3, 4 and Meiji 2. This wakizashi has a very shallow curvature and a curved form with a barbed gutter cut through both the front and back of the sword. The blade is forged surface with fine jigane ground grain, and the blade has a straight edge with a deep nioi and well-attached nie.

[ Conditions ] Old polishing condition. Can be preserved and appreciated in its present state. Can also be sharpened and enjoyed.
