[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Mihaba is wide. High shinogi-suji attached. Saki-zori attached. O-kissaki form.
Nakago : Suri-age. Saki is kiri. Yasurimes are kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. It has black coloured atmosphere. Jinie attached.
Hamon : In shallow notare tone, gunomes and togari-bas mixed. Nie attached well. Sunagashis, kin-sens and yu-bashiri appeaared.
Boushi : It runs in shallow notare, form is ko-maru. Saki is haki-kake.

[ Highlight ] Etchu-no-kami Takahira was a Kaga swordsmith active in the early Edo period around Genna. He was originally from Mino, but emigrated to Kaga, where he was first called Jinroku and later Shiroemon-jo. He received the title of Etchu no Kami around the 5th year of the Genna era and changed his name to Takahira, and died in the 5th year of Kan'ei era. His signatures include 'Etchu no Kami Fujiwara Takahira', 'Kashu Kanazawa Resident Etchu no Kami Fujiwara Takahira' and 'Tsujimura Etchu no Kami Fujiwara Takahira'. The dates include Genna 2, 5, 7, 8, 9 and Kan'ei 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. This piece has a well-defined and high quality nioi. The characteristics of Takahira are well represented and the individual signatures are superb.

[ Conditions ] There are a few cloudy areas due to old polishing, but it can be preserved and appreciated in its current state.
